The region of Normandy on France’s northern tip has got so much to discover and experience. Its rich heritage will take you on a journey through the Neolithic period, medieval times to the more recent D-Day landings. Dotted with lush meadows and rustic farmland, the area is also famed for its culinary delights and beautiful gardens

Itinerary

Day 1
Check-in at Belfast City Airport for our flight to London Heathrow where we board our coach and travel to Dover and sail to Calais and on to our hotel in the centre Rouen.

Day 2
This morning we have some free time. Our hotel is perfectly located near the centre to discover on foot the medieval town with its cobbled pedestrianised streets, impressive Cathedral and the many restaurant, bars and shops. After lunch we visit the beautiful harbour town of Honfleur, then on to elegant Deauville and charming Lisieux.

Day 3
After breakfast we travel to Giverny for a visit to Monets delightful house and gardens made famous in his paintings. In the afternoon we visit Les Andelys, a very pretty town on the River Seine dominated by Chateau Gaillard, an impressive castle commissioned by Richard the Lionheart.

Day 4
Today we continue our tour including The Bayeux Tapestry Museum telling the story of William the Conqueror s conquest of England. After lunch we visit The American Cemetery and visitor centre that overlooks Omaha beach, burial site of US soldiers most of whom perished on D-Day.

Day 5
After checking out, we travel back to London Heathrow via Calais-Dover for our return flight to Belfast.
