Check-in at Belfast International Airport for our flight to Bristol where will make our way to Jamaica Inn made famous by Daphne du Maurier’s tale of smugglers and pirates.
Today we visit the Eden Project and spend the day exploring this award winning, world famous attraction. Five giant bubbles known as Biomes (massive greenhouses) house the largest indoor rainforest. A huge waterfall tumbles in the background as you walk through Tropical South America, West Africa and Asia. We then visit the picturesque harbour of Mevagissey.
This morning we visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan, an aristocratic estate abandoned and left to nature after WWII which became one of the largest garden restoration programmes in Europe. There’s over 200 acres to explore including a jungle with banana plantations, giant rhubarbs and towering bamboos. We then visit the peaceful Trelissick Gardens with views over the Fal Estuary.
After breakfast we visit Land’s End for some free time to discover the country’s most south-westerly point. We visit Trebah Garden with its sub-tropical plants and stunning coastal views then to Falmouth for some free time to explore the centre.
We have time to relax at the hotel before leaving for Bristol Airport for our return flight to Belfast International Airport.
